Hmmm, I was going to do a flight from MUVR to SVMI tonight but I'm getting a g2d.dll CTD each time I try entering RWY 06 at MUVR. It
happend 3 times. I wonder if anyone else has tried taking off from MUVR's RWY 06 and has gotten the same result. Never had this type
of .dll CTD before. Yes, I did install the scenery for MUVR and made the approach to RWY 06 without any problems. I read on a forum that
I may have to go into BIOS and disable video caching or shadowing. WTF? Wonder

Joe.. Didn't try it yet. However, I got an CTD when approaching MUVR saturday night. Not sure if it had anything to do with the scenery
though.

Wooohoo! My new pc arrived this morning. WOW, it is a huge one. My IT guy at work has put the OS on it and is currently updating drivers.
I'll be installing FS9 and add-ons later today. I feel like a kid with a new toy now Big Grin

Well, I have some bad news, when I was on holidays, I was making a new company, and I was not thinking at all and stupidly by accident
deleted my FSPWT company when I meant to delete the Default Pacifica airlines Sad

I never did make it past Courchevel, with all the glitches and CTD's.....Ok maybe a few of my "into the mountain landing's" didn't help
either. lol

Anyway, I would still like to fly online with you guys, maybe a few of the last legs of the tour. Smile

By the way, Congrats on the new PC Joe. I can't wait to see the new screenies from it, if they can get any better Top

Hi ya Ryan! Well, I'm having trouble with AA settings on my new pc. Even using Nhancer isn't solving the issue with the GF8600 GS card.
My IT guy has tried different settings and still get those crappy jagged edges everywhere. I am not understanding where the problem is.
Maybe Martin could provide me with some help on this since he's got the same card? Big Grin

When you first became a mod you put the " THIS USER IS BANNED" Under Joe and a few other people's Posts as a Joke.

Joe, thoug I have the GT card it should not make much difference.
I had to try several settings myself also but this is what works best for me, good performance and no jagged lines at all;

Important is to remove the exisiting MS flight simulator profile and create a new one.
The settings as follows;
Antialiasing, combined 4xs (can try multisampling and 4x also but i prefer the other setting somehow)
Super-transparancy AA
AF 16x
Vertical Sync Off
Texture filtering High Quality
Both Tri and Aniso opt off
Neg LOD bias CLAMP

Rest of all the boxes not checked.
Again, first time I tried nhancer, plane was ok, but lines on taxiways for example looked terrible. With above settings however everything looks
smooth and fine Wink

Thanks, Martin...I'll have to print your suggestions once I get things working around here. Now I'm having a problem starting RC4. I
reinstalled from the CD and can't open RC4 at all. Get some kind of error message with "Component COMDLG32.OCX...A file is missing
or invalid" kind of crap. Have written the RC folks about it. Looks like it's gonna be a slooooow process Wall

BTW, I meant to say that my card is a GTS, not GS Wink

I got a very quick response from JD last night, so I was able to resolve the component issue in RC4. All is well Big Grin

Also, I installed Nhancer and got that working properly,too. Tried out FS9 at 1600 res. and 1680. My pc froze up at 1680 res, so I guess I
should keep it at 1600.

BTW, the CoolMaster Stacker case is awesome! The big case fans(3) run very quiet. Heck, the entire system is quiet, which surprised
me.
