Maybe i was a little foolish and started flying online in world tour 1 before i even knew how to fly a plane. (only flew properly since fs9 (did have
fs2002 but just messed around in it)) I got the pee took out of me with me 500, 600 + even a 1200 landing, but i went along with it at first Dont know if the stats are still online for last world tour, but if so, you will see i didnt upload any flights for the last half of the tour, so people couldn't laugh at my poor landings ![]() He who gets laughed at, has the last laugh ![]() ![]()

The takeoff at UHWW yesterday morning was at almost zero visibility. My kind of white knuckle moments but not ideal for screenies

Great job Joe, over all the first one. It is all the personality of the 707 followed by those smoke trailers

great pics at always Joe..
Had my first major eninge failure tonight.. Bird strike after taking off from ZMCD for a recognition flight to Irkutsk. I was hardly in the air when the right engined failed on my 737-800.. Made a nice turn about 10nm out of the field and manage to land safely on 1 engine.. so.. If someone is looking for me.. I am sitting in the middle of the room, being proud of myself ![]() ![]()

Congratulation DSW334!
Not so simple to land with one engine only. I am always glad if I do not have to do that! Changes are always high that I set it into the ground with one engine, specially when it's a long time in the past since my last such attempt. (If the altitude fits I think l am better in landing without any engines than with 1 left! LOL. ) edit to add: just found : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_UH9wEtfVY8&NR The sudden silence leaves gives some mixed feeling! ![]() Post Edited ( 03-25-07 23:41 )

well.. not sure if it were the right skills or just pure luck.
![]() (about 2,000ft above the runway) when the right engine failed. As soon as I heard that creapy sound, I took her out of the turn and leveled off. Then the FO came around and screamed that it seems that the right engine failed... DUhhhhh! I increased power to the left engine so that I could keep the plane steady at 150kts. Extracted flaps. Made a 270degrees right turn with a gentle bank angle of about 5%. With the runway inside I extracted gear and made a correction as I was left of the runway.. When I made the correction and gently turned her left to line her up again, I had a scary moment as the lady started a bit to swing. But I managed to get her sort of straight of the runway.. Put her down applied max. brake and there were the fire trucks.. The things that amazed me most and thus made me proud, is that I did not hit the Pause button once and that I handled the problem without giving it a single thought. I just threw the beer in the corner, grabbed the stick and put the baby down. ![]()

Brilliant piece of flying, DSW!
Now there's really only one person who has yet to suffer an emergency during the WT.. ![]()
26-03-2007, 10:52 PM
Yeah, I wonder who that could be? *cough* *cough*
Ok,ok...I admit...I haven't had an emergency on the tour...YET. Even after flying the 707 a couple of times(1 in the tour and 1 outside of the tour), I thought for sure I would have an emergency but never surfaced ![]() home). It's been so long since I've looked at the set up options. Maybe I need to fly the 707 again on the next leg...maybe then I'll get a 2- engine failure ![]()

Try to buy "the former owner of this plane is known for not mantaining aircrafts very well" stuff. Fly them twice and ...bingo!
