[closed] Important information about FsP future patches/versions

Some word about the next versions of FsP.

FS9:
Due to the huge number of users of FS9 there will be a new update for FsP for the FS9 version. This is scheduled
to be ready in 4 months.
The update will address some small issues found in the current version like maintenance costs/interval, ability to
set different TA for destination
and arrival etc.

FSX:
For FSX the code need to be rebuild completely, almost from scratch on. This will take a long time and this update
might not be expected within several month, more advices on the sheduled time will be posted in the meaning
time.

I dont even have FSX. Fsxp will most likely be done before I get FSX anyway

Re FSX: looks like this is turning out to be more trouble than it's worth.
It's nice when the so called geniuses get it wrong sometimes, isn't it!

Thanks for the update, no problem with FSX version delay, since FSX DirectX 10 update is also planned no sooner then in about a year
from now (that's what I heard anyway). I'm glad to hear that FS9 version of FSP will get new patch.

I have one question about the future version of FSP. I usually set random Failures in my PMDG menu but FSP doesn't detect these failures. Only ones
it creates itself so I get penalised for calling a false emergency. Will the update allow FSP to detect these failures too?

And about FSX. I'm not planning to upgrade until late, late this year or early next year anyway. I'm also waiting for PMDG, LDS, and SSTSIM. I
don't think Microsoft will make a disaster like this again. FSX was a good idea but it came too soon. Keep up the good work Dan/Dutch!

There are many suggestions so far, but feel free to suggest extra things to add to the list of possibilities. (Im not saying suggestions will be
implemented, but considered)

We've browsed the forum for suggestions made during the last year or so. If possible, those will be implemented, it's too early yet to say what
exactly will be in the patch

It would be cool to be able to take out loans to expand your company, especially when starting the game as a 500,000 dollar company. It
could work on the same mechanics as insurance, with interest being collected after every flight.
