World Tour and Africa

Hello,

While watching the world tour map, i noticed that there are no legs over africa. First, i headed to the FAQ and found nothing (or did'nt see the info ).
Then i had a look into the dangerous area database and realized that only a few countries of africa continent present a war risk. So, naturally, the
question came up :

Is there a particular reason that makes flights "impossible" over africa ? a technical reason ? (failure risk increased ) , "flight calibration"
reason ? (finding an average between parameters like , flight lenght or something like this).

(now follows the real "noob part" of this post)

...sorry (once again) if this have been discussed earlier.....what's the meaning of the leg colours (green or red)....(The "noob reality"....as hard
as it can be... ).....i'm feelling bad on this one, believe me. ......ready for a " get FAQued !! man "

Green is the flights already flown, and red is the flights on the tour that havnt been flown yet.
As for the: no flights over africa, I'm not sure I guess thats just how DBE planned it out, He knows better then I do.

I presume because there are perhaps not that much freeware scenery available for africa

DSW334 figured out the main reason why Africa was left out of the tour this time: including that continent in the tour would mean:

a) hopping from one standard FS9 airport to another while crossing a relatively uniform scenery, or
b) flying extremely long legs between addon airports

Africa was part of the 1st season of the FSP World Tour, but, when planning this one, I tried to concentrate on challenging approachs and beautiful
environments rather than visiting each and every country available.

One last (but important) note: the FSP World Tour is an independant venture and has nothing to do with the FsPax site, other than the fact that most
peeps prefer to discuss it on this forum.
