Shot down by the people in London !!!!!!

Dear Fspassengers.. ;-)

Let me tell you a fun and strange story from my real life in flight simulator 2004... Well at least through my avantar since the plane and
every living sole were killed.

I was flyving from vienna ( LOWW ) to Heathrow in London.. I was a little late due to traffic before take off ( the fs2004 bug, were the planes
just stay on the taxi way and never move ) so I was happy to be on final on runway 27R at heathrow..
Then sudenly the fspassengers wrote something about flying above a war zone..... what the hell...... was the only thing I could think off,
right before I lost my left engine to small arms fire.....
I pressed 7700 on my transponder and declared an emergency a few miles from the runway.... Then things started to go wrong....
Since I was on final I was flying pretty slow with flaps ect. so I started loosing altitude quite fast.. and there were no possibility to just glide
to the airport du to bad weather and wind... So I tried to speed up the plane but unfortunatly I was to slow with full flaps/gear ect. so the
plane started turning to the left quite hard... while I was fighting with the rudder and yaw to stay on course to the airport... but impossible.
So the last few secounds before slamming into london ( houses everywere ) I experienced my plane flying sideways in the air...
I have been flying more than 1000 houres ( from 1989 ) in my flight sim life but this was the first time for me to be flying 90 degrees
sideways... I know its becourse I only had one engine and it was pushing me sideways.... but wow.
as you all know planes was not designed to fly sideways so I made a soft landing ( Dont know why ) sideways into a small house at
about 80 knots.. ....
I have to inform the comunity that I lost my 200 million plane a wonderfull pilot and 89 lives + 4 people in the house and a cat!!!!!
The police will make the names avaliable soon when the familys have been informed.

Wow man I'm sorry. Don't forget to download the pilot resurrection tool from the download section and then delete London from the war
zone database

you must have been flying over the London Parlement thats the only thing in the danger area database to do with london.

the parlements security must have been on full alert, it properbly have something to do with the threat level after 9/11.

Next time I will try to avoid the parlement when im on final... The problem was bad weather and ATC sending me left and right all the
time.... ;-) trying to line me up for final.

Well I was so lucky that in frustation after my plane crash I pressed ALT F4 so the data was not saved ;-)

Same thing happened to me. Crashed on approach about 5 miles from touchdown. I think they are still finding pieces of the Virgin 747-
400. Seemed strange, but what the hey!

Hi Peder.
Almost had the same thing happen to me last night. I was doing a short hop from EGNT to EGLL as I had a spare hour before the footy
came on telly. All was going well after a difficult take off due to thunder storms and the pax nervous rate going up to 29%. I had calmed
the pax nerves down to 2% and was was routed 27R which made a nice change as I always seem to get 9R.

As I touched down F.O. announces "We have a brake failure" nice I thought that is all I need. Anyway to cut a long story short I managed
to keep the bird on the runway although I was dangerously close to coming off the runway at one point and taxi off ok. It was when I
looked at the end of flight report that it stated I had flown over a war zone. Now I know some parts of London are a bit rough to put it mildly
from the time I lived down there but "War Zone" it never was although I know things have changed a lot since then. Still I got 728 points
£3,533 War Area bonus and £1,418 Emergency bonus so I was not complaining And a round of applause from a very relieved crew and
passengers. I must try that route again and see if the natives have calmed down by then.

Safe flying and watch out for the cats.
