No, there was discussion about this during development, and due to recent (recent when in development) events, it was decided to not
have a hijack option

why didn't they take out that option
08-07-2006, 12:15 AM
Well if im nto mistaken it would take a lot of work....and most likely a scenario
I dont know how to explain it in here like it si in my mind...but why? I understand the realism part but why? lol

My guess is that it wasn't included because it could easily anger people about 9/11 (kind of like the United 93 movie). Personally I agree 100% with
that.

and if there was this option , then they hijack the plane and take control so you don't do anything anymore. WOW what a flight.

I think that a hijacking would be to hard to simulate. It would also be unpleasant so its left out.

It might be interesting to try, but I think that many people will find it inappropriate and offensive..

I think it was better left out. Hijacking is not something I'd want in my sim. Besides, I wouldn't open the cabin door anyway, just land.

Agreed. Reserve it, if ever, for FS X with their ''scenario'' makers. Most of us however would rather fly without ailerons and a rudder than be
hi-jacked and watch AI land your plane at some airport 2000nm away from your origional destination. It just isn't practical to implement into a FS Simulator.

Ya like if anyone would have a fun time just simulating a hijacking they should get permenently rejected access to an aircraft

My fligts often get hijacked. Either by my partenr dictating a job, my daughter demanding my attention, my cat standing on the keyboard,
or just plane old PC crashing. I can certainly manage without FSP Hijacking as well! David

procedures to follow in the event of a Hijack.
1/ lock cabin door 2/ pull back on stick 3/ pull back harder 4/ roll stick left 5/ roll stick right/ 6/ push forward on stick 7/ level out 8/ unlock cabin door 9/ collect hijackers' guns 10/ shoot hijackers with their own guns 11/ land 12/ hand over the hijackers to the authorities to carry out an autopsy 13/ wait for said autopsy 14/ laugh at their injuries over a cold one ![]() Flying for Landmark Airlines. |
