Realistic Faliure Rate?

I've looked around and couldn't find a topic addressing this, I apologize if it's already been covered.

I would just like some advice on what a realistic faliure percentage would be? I currently have mine set to 10%

The most realistic would be around one in a million since in real life it doesn't happen that often. But since you can't choose that in FsP, the most
realistic would be 1%. But then you miss out on the fun of getting a unsuspecting failure.

Oh trust me you don't miss out at all, I had one only the other week, cracked window it must've been, loud bang followed by a swift decent
due to depressurisation. First flight in a new Dornier 328 TP too, ouch. Should've known that plane was jinxed as I kept on
having 'issues' with it after that.

I was watching a documentary the other night and the Captain said the worse that has happened to him in 30 years flying was a burst
tyre on landing.
So you could set the failure rate to one burst tyre every 30 years if you want

some of us aren't that lucky

I've had a couple of brake failures and one flame-out. I just use the default 5%. The failures don't seem to happen all that often.

I've had 2 instances of flaps being frozen in the "up" position while on approach, and 2 engine failures on different occassions due to bird
ingestion on takeoff. No big deal...everyone survived

I'm fairly certain everyone aboard will die when that happens to me as I'm not at the level of being aware of all the instruments and such all the
time. I suspect I'll need to learn how to deal with these emergencies the hard way.
