Someone told me that FS 2006 should be coming out this fall, will this program be compatible with that or will 2006 already come with a
career feature?

I wouldn't expect FS06 to be out before next year sometime. MS are still collecting data from people using a massive survey. Although it's
almost certain they start writing the next version when they finish the last ( I believe somebody on the MSFS team confirmed this) they still haven't officially released any statements. Just Flight supposedly got told by someone to expect it next year sometime and judging by how little we are hearing that's probably the case. As to a career feature I wouldn't be surprised, though in a way thanks to Dan I kinda hope not, better they leave that to the community, just maybe make it easier to implement. ![]() Flying for Landmark Airlines.

I think I remember reading somewhere in this forum, or at least this website that IF FSP turns out to be poular enough, Dan may continue
with the product through future versions of FS... I for one hope he will!!!

Quote:clut wrote: Sure I would, it depend if Fs2006 allow that (I doubt the SDK would change completely over 2004 but who know ?) and also if FsP is a success as said (I cannot live from fresh air and water only) btw you'll see the "update" effect shortly after release... I plan to rest one or two day but after that, back to work to continue to improve FSP, I'm sure there will be some fix (even 35 tester can't find all the bug) but after the fix I'll continue to improve it during this summers based on user feedback and requests. and before anyone ask: ![]() 1-upgrade will be free of course for all FsPassengers version for FS2004 2-upgrade will not destroy your flight database, you'll keep all your data. I hope you do something good on your days off, you really deserve it.
Big thanks for making the updates free, many developers charge a lot of money just for tiny little upgrades, and if I get as much out of it as I think I'm going to, I'll have no problem buying it (either full-price or reduced price) for the next version of FS.

I have to say that this product looks great......... a job well done which I am sure will be justly rewarded by about 50,000 flight simmers
buying it.......... or more ![]() About FS 2006.... and of course these are just my thoughts but........ I have to say that I have been chasing FS products for years now and enjoy each new release as they seem to get better and better, but.......... it is getting to the point that unless they release some good aircraft with the product as well I wont touch it until the various companies have put together there aircraft additions. PDMG's 737 is fantastic, and I am sure the 744 is going to be equally so, as well as Level-D's 767...... great products. And the Airbus clan (and soon to be 777/757) the PSS additions are great as well.......... so after updating my fleet for FS9 I am definitely not in any hurry to go out and get the new FS.......... and the new fleet to fly.......... and the new computer required to run the product sufficiently. Just my thoughts.............. anyway, Great product, cant wait for the release. Ron ![]() Flying, scientific understanding with an artistic execution. |
