How long does the flight have to be to not get the short flight penalty and have the pax mad at you? I enjoy the really short 10 minute hops...but I
get penalyzed.

Your flight time (flying time in the air) needs to be longer than 10 minutes.

i never fill in the time blocks, cause stff happens in flight, like I had a nasty fuel leak on my 767 and had to dump some fuel and do an
emergency landing in KPHX., I lost some points cause I forgot to squak 7700. ![]()

It does have to be over 20 minutes flying. Still if you are gonna give joyrides at least you can charge VIP prices for a 25 minute circuit
round an airshow....... ![]() Flying for Landmark Airlines.

Hi everyone,
Are you sure it has to be 20minutes? I have two flights that ended due to mechanical issues that were both under 19 minutes of block time, and both had around 15 minutes of actual flying time, and luckily, I didn't received any penalties for short flights. I also have at least one flight , with no emergencies , with time airbourne of only 16:45, and a total block time of: 19:47, and I still received a "perfect" overall flight result, pilot bonuses of 330 points, but no penalties. So maybe the time airbourne needs to be more than 15 minutes? I went thru the Manual, but didn't see any indication of any short flight penalties. Athough I know I got a short flight penatly when I flew a flight that was just short of 10 minutes of flying time. John ![]() |
