This BLUE sea is indeed impressive, but I prefere a lot the view on Lake Mead with these sharp edges and mysterious island at the
middle.
Pretty views on Las Vegas Dutch and Eazy, I prefered to keep at distance from casinos, did not wish to have to sell quick all my planes

It also reminded me this story and the movie with all the technical details. I they did nor have yet radio altimeters and needed to keep a
very acurate low altitude, Pythagore provided the solution with two beam lights, one under the nose the other under the tail
,
when the beams converge on the water surface, the plane is at wished altitude. the principle to drop the bombs at wished distance was brought by Thales: two pins and the bomber eye defined fixed angle. the two tower on the dam and the bomber defined a variable angle, narrow at longer distance, it becomes wider when the plane get closer to the Dam, when the angle made with the towers equals the angle made by the pins, it is the good distance. after some bounces on the waterthe bomb reaches the dam, sink and explosion is triggered by a manometer set for the wished deepth.


I am always shared between oposites feelings about such events in the history. One one side, the technical and courage performance of
the persons involved and on the other, the massive kills and destructions which is the goal and result.
Are they really important in the strategy ? or simply they occure due to wish to go as far in destruction as possible ?

As I did not have bombs but cameras and pacific passengers wishing a sight seeing before rushing to casinos, I approched by the reverse direction
than the dambusters, which offers the view on the whole height of the construction.

Except my FO, everybody was satisfied

The fixed way point follow the colorado river down the canyon giving sightseeing like this


As it woulf be a pity to watch this from 33000 feets at 500 kts GS. The time to schedule is between 2h30 anfd 3 hours. Probably props would be
easyer to handle by there.

But atfter WP 12, anyway it will be necessary to go higher

Great pics and flight plan! I'll be taking off from KLAS to KDEN at 12:30 PST tomorrow, so I guess I'll be flying the route in real life as you guys
fly it in FS9. I'll look out the window for your planes!

Because then i would fly on Friday or Saturday and record it.

I just loaded the flight, and it shows one of the wierd routes. I'm gonna try and make a working one with those waypoints.

yes that works, i thought 1000nm in a prop was a little far like

600 is still quite a trek -, but im fine with it
