Hot food question

Yes I actually have a question...and yes I did a search...and yes I looked in the FAQ, but I could be blind, so bear with me.

OK, I have some nice turbo props in my fleet - Rockwell Turbo Commander being one of them, and an old school D18. My question is I
have it set up to have a hostess with automatic feeding and watering of my pax.

BUT they are fed sandwiches and drink only no hot food even on a 3+ hour flight. Should hot food not be served?

I also cannot get hot food served if I do it, even if I change the key assignment, but I can serve sandwiches and drink.

Any ideas?

I tried asking this question a few months ago, but I didn't get a straight answer. There is an aircraft weight, apparently, below which the aircraft
is only allowed to do sandwiches (no hot food). Dan checked the code and reported it was 4000 lbs, I think, but that couldn't have been right, since
aircraft I've had which are heavier still don't get to do hot food. I actually think its about 4000 KG instead, and asked that too, but never got an
answer. But yes, I've observed this as well.

That's funny, can you select hot food from the menu?

Not sure Dutch, and knowing that hot food is only on planes over 4500 lbs answers my question. So its sammeeches and pop for my
pax! lol.

Ive just never noticed this and only changed it to serve food recently as I always did food on larger aircraft, but since my current airline has
little money and a fleet of smaller aircraft I gave it a shot and noticed no hot food.

I've learned something today also again then Didn't know it was only on larger aircraft that hotfood was available

How the hell did I miss those? I did a search using the phrase "hot food" and got no results.
