P3D V 3.3 Is Released

I have tried FVIE and Resource Hacker, neither of which yielded any positive results. As a matter of fact, both yielded fatal errors after editing, which indicates to me that P3D have incorporated a checksum or other editing protection. That leaves us waiting for an update, unless someone else has another idea. Can't say I didn't try... hoping an update comes soon and Dan is well.

I wasn't trying to modify Dan's code. I was trying to change the version number in P3D by modifying the version number in Prepared.exe itself. It worked before v3 came out when we were trying to get FSCopilot to work with it. I guess they changed things in V3 so that little workaround would no longer work. Since FSCopilot is no longer supported, we didn't have a lot of choices (we use an FSD server for our multiplayer flights). When the Migration Tool came out, that solved our FSCopilot issues. Unfortunately, it does not work with FSPax. I'm wondering if one had the FSX version, could that be installed into P3DV3 using the migration tool and made to work that way. I only have the P3D version, so I can't test that.

DCA and others, how about reverting to P3D 3.2 until Dan decides to show up and work on a update? If it worked for any of you in 3.2, I would go with what works for now. That is the only solution I can offer at this point. Sorry folks!

Bummer for me actually. Upgraded to P3D 3.3 and turns out that FSP Version is not working with 3.3. Was working perfectly in P3D 3.2. Will just have to wait till its sorted.

Sam, would it be too much trouble for you to go back to 3.2? Again, I don't know when Dan will decide to show up with an update.
By the way, is 3.3 much better than 3.2?? I'm staying with 3.2 for a while. It performs quite well...and, FsP works

To be honest, not sure if I can revert back to 3.2. There is some major improvements in 3.3 and it does look much better and is very stable. I have lots of add-ons and all work just fine. Unfortunately for me, I just assumed FSP would work as it was working in 3.2.
Rather than do a full install for upgrade, it was just a matter of updating the "client.exe" and the "content.exe".
This changes the version of P3D which obviously changes data and any software would see it as a new install due to a different version number.
One of my concerns is that my data for FSP is gone. It appears to be still there but not registering with 3.3. This is by far one of my fav add-ons and just hope it can be sorted.

Hello All,

Just to let you all know, I have successfully reverted back to P3D 3.2 using original "client.exe" file from ver3.3. I can now use FSP again, and hopefully we may get an update to use ver 3.3. I hope this may help those who are considering updating.

I'm in the same situation - updated to 3.3 and all my addons either worked fine out the gate or were easily updated. FSP is the only one. Yes, I could revert back to 3.2 - but I'm not going to do that for a single addon. I like FSP but not THAT much. Please fix it Dan. Thanks.
