If you crash will it be realistic? In FS2004 even if you nose dive into the ground you still skid across the ground

??? realistic ? you mean with smoke and part trowed everywhere and nice explosion
like in star wars III and surround sound ? no... not more realistic than Fs2004 appart that your passengers will scream before the crash. THIS said... FsP bring one unique feature that Fs2004 isn't able to do: belly landing... in Fs2004 if you land without your gears it's an immediate crash in FsP given that you have a gear failure you will glide on ground with a rasp sound and at end you will hear emergency siren and passengers yelling to go out... Anyway In Fs2004 crashing is perhaps fun, in FsP you don't want to do that or your pilot is fried... at best you loose your flight if you don't want to register such bad result and your angry because you'll have one less flight recorded for you career... does it stop the flight and say you crashed... and maybe not that realistic but maybe fire and smoke... I took off on steep hills in an airbus
A380 after skipping off of an island I don't think it would have made it much farther than the water around the island Post Edited ( 05-25-05 01:20 )

Um, you and others keep saying that if you try to belly land in FS2004 you crash, but I have performed many belly landings in 2004 and
have not crashed unless I did it on water where I then promptly sank.

you don't sink in the water it puts you back in the air

No you sink if you do a belly landing and have crash on.
And some aircraft are easier to make bally landings than others like the Big Boeing jets (!!) beacause of the configuration, they have a smooth underside, and the retractable gear, tail draggers are easy to land because of their configurationas well. Usually I just do it to see the pretty sparks, and to see how much friction is simulated.
I love flying!

Interesting conversation between one who "ILikePlanes" and "I love flying"....
![]() I'd only ask...how do you know if you're always crashing or belly landing them? ![]()

because if you crash it says at the top that you crashed and you stop moving

If you purchase CrashBak it will give you some more smoke and explosions. I use it and I love it. It also has a feature that easily edits or
adds the visual_damage line in aircraft.cfg to 1. But it's not a crash simulator ![]() And doesn't everyone fly with realism sliders at 100%? ![]()
