? Even the best pilot is probably going to make an error if they consider flying just a routine thing... once they get in thatmindset,
probably
anything can go wrong... however the pilots at Lukla seem pretty determined.... I dont think flying in and around mountains and preparing
for a landing where you get one shot has any bearing on those pilots getting complacent...
calm, when I
fly i stay as calm as possible and try not to get too excited over the fact I'm flying, panic kills
I guess I disagree also... when I was learning how to fly one of my instructors said to never get in the mindset that flying is routine... sure
the motions are, but once you get in a plane and just treat it Nonchalantly then problems are probably going to arise. Thats not to say you
can't relax or have a good time, of course you can obvisuoly or why would anyone want to fly? Just becuase you don't look at flying as not
a routine does not mean your in a panic mode, though... its the idea that once flying gets routine, you will start to miss necessary steps,
and eventually that will get you in trouble.

The inital report even said there was a sudden onset of weather, which can easily attribute to an error, expecially while trying to land at an
airport at lukla
