As I have stated above this thread had degraded into nothing more than a rat race of semantics. If you wish to disagree on the
fundamentals of what I have said that is your right and I welcome your counterpoint.

Hey, I am a float pilot up in northern ontario, and when we get passengers who tell us while loading that they have some flight experience, or flew
one of these planes in flight simulator, right away, they go to the back, cited weight and balance, because they think they know everything, or more
than you in some instances, I have heard stories about private level guys when going into a glassy water lake, grabbing the controls and reefing them
back, thinking they are saving the plane, or ask to fly and land. Yeah i think its really cool and all to share flying stories, especially with
someone that knows what we experience everyday, but i have had hundreds of hours expereince to get this far, and i am flying a small cessna lake to
lake, not a 767 in IFR conditions, with icing problems all over the place, and having to do a full procedure approach, and cat 3 approaches are not
easy, you cant just hit the button and it goes, in my little training of ifr and procedures, that was the hardest flying ive done, in some approaches
there is only 300 feet separation between you and the ground, so any deviation to altitude will kill you. in cavok conditions, yeah it may no be a
problem, ive always thought that a monkey could fly, but not when cockpit management is going out the window, and its only you. theres a reason single
pilot ifr has so many restrictions to it.

Let's put it this way I've flown PMDG, PSS, Level-D airliners and light aircraft on FS2004.

My first flying lesson in a Cessna 152: spent about half an hour finding stuff doing the pre-flight checklist, hadn't got a bloody clue. Not because I'm stupid, but because the atmosphere is TOTALLY different when you are crammed into the tiny plane with the headset on and the noise etc. etc. etc.


As others have said it isn't flying the plane that is so different. Just the whole atmosphere, sense of motion and environment and the ergonomics, I could go on.

FS is more of a game. I like to think I am a great DC-10 captain flyin' about the world on FS2004 but that's all PIE IN THE SKY. Mmmmm pie.

P.S. I heard a rumor that Ken is throwing me a 1,000 post party! I'm really excited and especially since I've been here for nearly this entire
existence of the fsp forum I'm greatly honored, unlike Joe I only try to post when I can bring a good viewpoint or a great bit of humor to the forum.
If you believe Joe does the same, just look at his last post, and probably the one before that, and the one before that as well.
I just wanted to thank Ken and Dan and everyone at this forum for this great opportunity, I'll be across the pond in a couple weeks for a
couple more weeks so plan this party for the end of January, England for xmas, Germany for die Neu Jahr!

I just felt it necessary to comment on Joe's post.

1) How could it be a party of 1 if Ken is setting it up and I will be attending, that is at least 2 sir. Not to mention the fact you know nothing
about the secret resistance I have on this forum against any all affiliations with JoeFlyer and/or FedEx. I actually had to drop a wrench on the
fedex delivery man the other night because he really wanted to deliver this package to my building after I repeatedly told him to leave the premises
or I would be forced to drop a wrench on his head.

2) Though yes all of my posts are sarcastic in some sort you must realize that this is my strategy. What would make everybody come back to read my
posts. Sure, if I posted on every topic a little "yes I agree with poster above" or "I have a big toe and it hurts" my post count would be nearing
5,000 but I wait for the right moment, when people see Joe posted they just move on to their next forum and continue their day, when people see Jim
posted they stop what they're doing (kid screaming in the background, wife naked on the bed) to read my post.

3) And as the ol saying goes "Drink one for me, or two, or ten"
