Yeah, Nick, I'm too illiterate when it comes to more technical pc issues. I mean, I can overclock a pc but not figure out why my pc is locking
up. Possibly the CPU is tired of being overclocked already Anyway, I got another set of eyes looking at it right now.

By the way, what kind of VC texturing is that in the first pic?? Talk about retro! Haha

Looks like I'm not getting the EVGA 285GTX 1G card but one similar to it....XFX GX285XZWFF GeForce GTX 285 1GB 512-bit GDDR3 PCI
Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card. The company I ordered from said they discontinued the EVGA cards I've only had
that type but what the heck. I shall see how XFX performs soon. But of course I had to upgrade my 700W PSU to 1000W so that I can run
the card and all my hard drives I hope that'll be enough!

well I have to say the more I play fs9 with REX , the more I love it. now I use only the REX weather engine and not AS anymore.
a great thing about REX is when there is a thunderstorm the clouds can go higher then 35.000ft so you have to go around them , if you
don't do this you can expect severe turbulence and severe icing. if you don't turn the anti-ice on it will freeze every sensor and pitot.

Is the REX wx engine any more reliable than ASA? Can you adjust the number of cloud layers,etc? I've noticed with ASA (FS9) that in
some locations I will get erratic speeds of the aircraft and the altimeter will go erratic as well...I'm talking huge increases or decreases.
It's enough for me to shut down ASA and then clear the wx within FSUIPC. This kind of anomoly I have noticed more around
Indonesia/Malaysia. After a while I can restart ASA and things are back to normal. Believe me, wind smoothing and all that jazz doesn't do
any good if a weather reporting station is foul along the route of flight with ASA.

with the latest REX update you can select now how your wind has to be controlled :
- enable REX FSUIPC cloud setting
- enable REX FSUIPC visibility settings
- enable REX FSUIPC wind setting
- enable REX FSUIPC system settings
so you can control almost everything with FSUIPC , and I have to say that I still have to encounter a hard windshear.
you can't adjust the number of cloud layers ( I haven't seen it yet in REX ) it's all automatic
I'll try tomorow a flight in the region you say with REX to see if there happens something, do you have an specific flight for testing?

Yeah, WIII for instance. The last time I tried taking off from WIII, a sudden and drastic increase in pressure met me on takeoff, which
means it was taking the 737 much longer to takeoff and barely got airborne. Once airborne, the speed and altimeter went crazy.

Joe I think that airport is doomed , when I want to load it my fs crashes. so I load the nearest airport works well (checked the wind , speed
etc. everything was normal with REX) flown to WIII for testing the wind , speed etc. and on approach fs crashed again.
the strange thing is that I don't have any scenery installed for that place. this was tested with the 737-700 from pmdg
