Hey guys,
About 3 months ago I reinstalled my fs2004 but I completely forgot about the service pack! I went to look for it and in the description it said
it might not work correctly if you have things installed. I have some aircraft installed, along with some gauges and effects, and real
environment pro installed. I just want to be sure with you guys before i install it, aand my question is: with all this installed will it work?

I would recommend a clean install (FS9 then 9.1), just to be sure.
I tried installing the patch after i installed some addons once, and basicly it screwed up my installation.

Ok, this means ill have to uninstall everything and then reinstall it Hunappy

Does this mean all the gauges and effects too?

Uninstalling, would mean everything.
But you can try installing the patch first and see if it works. The worst that can happen is that you need to uninstall and reinstall again.

thnx but a little late. . . .I took a leap of faith and installed it and it worked thank god! everythings ok, getting round to installing fsp again. . .

What is it exactly good for, the service pack? Does it make the performance better as well?

Ok, I decided not to wait for a reply and just go ahead and download and install the update.

It had a uninstall.exe with it, so I thought, what the hell.

I installed, had a black screen on startup, so uninstalled it again immediately and now...

well...

my whole fs9 is F***** up now. Can't find the fs9.exe file. Anyone know the solution for this? I will probably just have to reinstall the bloody game.

Sorry I couldnt answer, but since im in argentina theres a big time difference and i was sleeping. Im guessing since youre One of the
living legends youve got one of the powerful pc´s with lots of downloads: if so theres youre problem. Didnt you get a mesage before you
installed saying be careful blah blah blah downloads might affect update blah blah blah? Well anyway, In the C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Games\Flight Simulator 9 folder youll see a file called BACKUP, and everthing you need should be in there.

Well, I took a look at the back up folder. But it is not sure for me what to do. There is a fsp.A822 file in it. But it doesn't do anything. I get an
error and I can't find a readme file anywhere. Something with the language.dll it was I believe.
