looking for new 737 ?

Wow I am glad you provided that to me. As I said above I was looking at this 737 and was interested in all the stuff but first the aviaonics
had to be right. It would have to fly almost as good as the PMDG for me to consider putting out that much money. Which means that I
would have spent that kind of money. Now that I have read through all the disussion and followed all the links provided in the previous
forum discussion the most important one being http://www.avsim.com/pages/0902/pt_again.html I will never buy anything
from this company. I am always a little suspicious of any company I have never heard of before. I pretty much stick with
companies that are already established, but hey I am always looking for someone who has a new twist on things.

OMG!! That Eric Cantu freeware looks amazing!!!! Has anyone put any time in it yet? How does it fly? Is it as realistic as it looks?

I downloaded the Air Scheffel that was suggested way up on this thread. It really looks amazing but I'm having one major problem with it.
As soon as it finishes loading, my left engine goes on fire with all sorts of warning horns. Has anyone else had this and how do I get it to
start without the instant fire??? Thanks

Spontaneous combustion or the mechanics not checking the fuel lines!!. Can't trust anybody these days.

If you read the word doc that comes with it there is a set procedure including hitting the fire bottle. It is a pain.

The manual suggests picking another plane first then loading the 737 but this didn't work for me either.


I realise it is ony freeware and it is pretty good at that level, but some aspects appear less than desired.(Of course thats probably the way I fly
the thing).

The other thing is we are probably getting to spoilt with all the products and professionalism displayed on offer.

After the aircraft has loaded try pushing the L button i found that by mistake hope it works for you.
The only problem i have is the rudder does not work once in the air.

I downloaded this last night, but haven't flown it yet. I did see that there is a large warning in the manual document that says that if you
use 'L' to turn on/off all the lights, it will also cause a fuel dump during engine ignition that will cause the engine to burst into flames. It
suggests only using the light switched to control your lights, just like you would in the real aircraft!

Thanks guys. No engine fire on startup now. I looked around the manual after the suggestions about the lights. It seems that all lights
must be off before starting, so go to a default a/c, turn off all lights and then load the 737. Hitting the L key is what starts the left engine fire.
Guess I should have read the manual first. Oh, well. It still seems a bit bizarre to have to hit a key to start an emergency.

Yes it does. The author even says so right in his own manual. But like he said, the Flight Simulator developers didn't really put anything
in the program to bring these types of emergencies on, so he added it in case you wanted to have to deal with things like an engine fire.

I personally would steer clear of Ariane. Paid 12 quid over there for what amounted to an AI aircraft

what they don't tell you in there glossy "our planes are wonderful" news pages is all the wonderful stuff is optional extras......
