I bought this a few weeks ago, and have been very happy with the purchase! Definatly worthy of the title of 'The Beast'
So this is what I found when I turned up at the gate...

damn vallet parking!
![[Image: MacL82.jpg]](http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h171/Maccers0484/FS/FSP%20World%20Tour/Leg9%20AGGH%20AYPY/MacL82.jpg)
As you can imagine, taxiing with such a long fuselage can be difficult
![[Image: MacL83.jpg]](http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h171/Maccers0484/FS/FSP%20World%20Tour/Leg9%20AGGH%20AYPY/MacL83.jpg)
A shot from one of the plane spotters
![[Image: MacL84.jpg]](http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h171/Maccers0484/FS/FSP%20World%20Tour/Leg9%20AGGH%20AYPY/MacL84.jpg)
Climbing out of Honiara
![[Image: MacL85.jpg]](http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h171/Maccers0484/FS/FSP%20World%20Tour/Leg9%20AGGH%20AYPY/MacL85.jpg)
So long Somoa, and thanks for all the fish
Cruising was quiet, smooth and uneventful so lets fast forward
![[Image: MacL86.jpg]](http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h171/Maccers0484/FS/FSP%20World%20Tour/Leg9%20AGGH%20AYPY/MacL86.jpg)
Told to expect vectors to ILS 14L
![[Image: MacL87.jpg]](http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h171/Maccers0484/FS/FSP%20World%20Tour/Leg9%20AGGH%20AYPY/MacL87.jpg)
A view of Morseby from the pilots seat
![[Image: MacL88.jpg]](http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h171/Maccers0484/FS/FSP%20World%20Tour/Leg9%20AGGH%20AYPY/MacL88.jpg)
Another plane spotter catches me from a distance
![[Image: MacL89.jpg]](http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h171/Maccers0484/FS/FSP%20World%20Tour/Leg9%20AGGH%20AYPY/MacL89.jpg)
I'm guessing that these might be useful
![[Image: MacL810.jpg]](http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h171/Maccers0484/FS/FSP%20World%20Tour/Leg9%20AGGH%20AYPY/MacL810.jpg)
Landing was as effortless as cruise, almost boring in a way. Ah well.
![[Image: MacL811.jpg]](http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h171/Maccers0484/FS/FSP%20World%20Tour/Leg9%20AGGH%20AYPY/MacL811.jpg)
Another great landing
![[Image: MacL812.jpg]](http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h171/Maccers0484/FS/FSP%20World%20Tour/Leg9%20AGGH%20AYPY/MacL812.jpg)
The spoilers didn't deploy properly and the brakes weren't strong enough to stop me, so I overshot my exit. A quick turn around and I'm on my way to
the gate.

Throw those doors open!
Here's the flight report

I'm still trying to remember how to get my pictures up to the standards I used to, as it stands they're not great compared to some people here.
As for the Aircraft, if anyone is considering the PMDG 747 I would ask that they give this a look at. It's not got the amazing systems and FMC that
PMDG has, but it provides enough information to the more-novice pilot without overwhelming them. It also carrys nearly as much passengers as a 744 but
with the added cargo and increased fuel economy.
