any good flight planner ?

It sound perhaps dumb but I don't have a cool flight planner, i'm too busy coding to make long flight
I fell in love with the nav 3.0 in fs2002 so I wonder if there is a flight planner that is external and give you
a map with all the vor and frequency as the old NAV 3.0

It's now time for me to make flight in real user condition to test all the features
so I need now a flight planner to make the experience more enjoyable (I still love
to make cool flight even after all my work on Fs04

Guess I'm new here, just been watching the forums for awhile now. Looking forward to FSP like everyone else.

I've used FSNavigator since FS2000. The newer version works with 2000, 2002, and 2004. It's a good flight planner, and you can print
out the flight plans, maps etc. Check it out at : http://www.fsnavigator.com/

I believe they have a demo that you can try out. The program isn't too expensive. At least it used to not be. Any any upgrades are free in
the future. I haven't had to pay again every time MS releases a new version of flight sim.

FSNav is very good, it's not hard to see why it's the most popular (or at least seems to be) Navigation tool out there.

I agree. FSNAV is a good bit of kit. I'm lost without it!

I've tried a few others including Jeppesen and stuff but I always bin them and revert back to FSNAV. I paricularly like the fact that you can
remove your aircraft from the display so that IS just a map..... Keeps me amused for hours - trying to find myself and all that

Dan, just read the bit about the banking and that. Good move! FSP looks like it's be amazing with the features you've completed. You can
gauge the situation after release and if people still want banking, maybe you can add it later.

You're doing a grand job. I really hope the response is as good as we all seem to feel it should be and you have a great success on your
hands.

FSNav, Flight Sim Commander, FSBuild2.0, FS Flight Keeper....Maude Frawley down at our local FBO! But it's hard to take her with you!

I think the simulator's flight simming utility is pretty good although I am sure it's not what you are looking for.

Trouble with the built in flight planner is it's not great for inputting waypoints. FSNav is superb for that side of things, then you can always
export the plan to various other formats, (FS, 767PIC, PMDG etc.) and just load the plan, set the gate pos. and away. The only thing I have
noticed in fact with creating a plan in FSNav is it's tendancy to screw up on gate positions, it's routinely put me right next to the active at
SFO, in a building (and boy can this get annoying, "you crashed-re-load-you crashed" ad infinitum.) And even in one case at a gate I could
not possible get away from because I was stuck between 2 other aircraft and if I'd pushed back my wings would've hit theirs.

That said of course the workaround is to set your gate position using FS, then create the plan in FSNav, then when you go out to the
menu again and load it (which I have to as that's the only way FSHotseat works) you say no when it asks if you want to move the plane.

I too agree that FSNav is probably the best flight planner out there, as a flight director/developer for a VA, I really simply could not live without
it, and as john has stated you can export into various other programs (maybe fspassengers too?)

John, your problem starting off in buildings is because you need to update your FSNav database, anytime you add or delete an AFCAD this effects FSNav
as well.
