Horizon band at sunrise/sunset - too high?

I was just wondering whether the band of light that appears at dawn and dusk is set too high in FS2004? I often wondered why the light doesn't start
at ground level, and is there a way to fix this?

Do you have Texture and Lighting checked in your hardware settings in FS9? I'm not certain if that is the problem, but let me know.

Damn the sun came up while I was posting this... I'll look around for another screenshot on my computer, or else post one shortly after I land the
flight I'm on.

Here's one, a screenshot from my friend in the UK and one of his virtual A320s. Note how the sun is rising higher than the ground horizon is, plus
the dark area below it. I get this frequently during sunrises at 35,000 feet. Does it have to do with where FS2004 places the horizon and its always
at a set point?

What type of add-on sky scenery is it? Active Sky? Real Sky? Or? I could view the screenshot as a sunrise OR sunset...it doesn't look bad
either way. If you had the problem I had with mine a month ago, you'd be thankful for that particular scene. I had updated the drivers to my
GeF 6600 and it messed up the horizon BIG TIME. Had to turn off the T&L just to make the horizon look decent again. At any rate, I now
have a much better graphics card and no longer have any issues. If you are running any add-on environment "stuff", you may want to see
if there is any tweaking you can do to render it the way you prefer.
