Stayed up all night to land a 737-200 in the small hours while very nackered, it was a night landing and I completely miscalculated it all, stalling
above the runway and landing very hard. I really though for a split second that I had crashed. Passengers were mad. Got many penatly points.

I had just purchased a "new" 1967 DHC-3. Loaded it with passengers, cargo, brought it up to mtow with fuel.

Ready to take off - full throttle, ease back on the yoke - positive rate of climg, gear up. 400 feet, autopilot on - climbing out at 1000 ft/mn - at
1200 heard a bang and the engine quit. push forward for best glide speed and turn back towards the airport (nothing but houses and buildings straight
ahead). The plane keeps wanting to climb --- close to stall speed --- get it under control, oh yeah - turn off the A/P

Landed between a couple of houses and rolled up just short of the taxi way. Got a hugh bonus, but cost me almost $300,000 to replace the engine. I
paid less than $700,000 for the whole plane. If you want to play you have to pay.

One time i flew from Amsteram to Tenerife airport. When i was above the sea between Protugal and Tenerife at FL330 (33000 ft) my
aircraft had a major fuel leak and the whole center fuel tank leaked empty. I had only 20 minutes of fuel left and i was starting to search
for a island but couldn't find any. I desited to land at a very small airport in Marocco. When i was at schort final i had also a bird stike (It
just wasn't my day). Well anyway i was on short final when i saw that the landing strip wasn't that big and with my 767 i knew that this was
going to be a close call. I set my auto brakes to max and i prayed that i would land safetly. At the end my front wheel was only a few
meters away from the end.

That's what i call a very exiting flight and a very close call.

Lost an engine on takeoff from San Fransisco but was able to land it safely at the airport 20 minutes later. Very really a very uneventful
incident. I kept it on the runway the whole time and even taxied to a gate on the one engine. Now THAT'S hard.

How about landing with no clearance and having to leap frog two airplanes that were crossing the runway? I also had to divert to a
taxiway when I was landing becasue another plane cut in front of me. Very good reasons to take the time to ask for clearance before one
lands

Other stuff close calls:

Engine Failure in 757 and landing above MLW on 4000ft runway, using reverse thrust with one engine is DIFFICULT to steer on the runway.

Extra fast landing in the Boeing 757 because flaps failed.

Extra fast landing in the Airbus A330 because flaps failed.

Extra fast landing in the DC-10 because the flaps failed.

Lots of repeated hard landings in the 707 because the gear didn't deploy properly.

Belly landing in ERJ-170 because of gear problem.

I had an incident where I was flying east over the Sierra Nevada at 33,000ft. Another AI plane was in front of me about 10 miles flying on the same
heading. I was quickly gaining on the aircraft, and turned on the ID tags to see what his altitude was compared to mine. Yikes! We were on the same
altitude! I went to request an altitude change from ATC, but the frequency was very congested. I couldn't get my request in between transmissions
and kept getting stepped on. All the while I was getting closer to this plane! Finally, still without clearance, I decided to dive under the plane
before I ended up in his tail pipe. I acted a little too late and entered his wake (ActiveWX feature). My plane lurched and suddenly entered a 5,000fpm dive toward earth! Pax fear skyrocketed and screams were heard from the back! I shut off AP and quickly got the plane back into level flight. I continued the flight all the way to Newark, NJ and the pax were STILL 60% nervous even when I set the parking brake at the gate.

Below is a partial report of my closest brush with destiny. Since starting this company I have flown for the most part successfully West
across the USA and back , through rough hurricane weather and several emergencies. Down though the West Indies deep into South
America
and back up on the Chile side, this was my first crash landing as I was unable to lower the gear. I guess the belly landing was a little
hard because I had a tough time keeping control of the thing while being fired upon and I had only one chance at this . I did go around in
spite of the faulty flight dynamics in order to try and get the gear down but to no avail. Just too much damage to the aircraft.

I ended up crash landing although the crew and i survived along with some of the pax we were all injured. I had no alternate pilots to run
my company while I was on the mend so I had to pay some witch doctor over 3 million dllars to heal me. Furthermore my nsympathetic
company penalized me -400 points inspite of the impossible situation I was in that caused all this.

You would think they would at least of sent me a box of chocolates and wished me a speedy recovery having survived this after making
the company a bundle of dough, the fat rich pimps.

Any how thats my closest so far, in the beginnng there was a few learnng curve dsasters but once I got it mastered I deleted and
restarted my company because my failures were due to me learning the program and not official in my mind. Best way to learn after study
is by doing in lke a sim situation sort of.

There is one rich and happy witch doctor down in the amazon jungle somewhere because of me to boot.

The aircraft crashed at 12h11 hitting ground at 61 kt with a vert. speed of -296 ft/m.
According to the black-box we deduce the following: One engine was damaged by small arms fire coming from the ground and ceased to
function. The left fuel tank was hit by a ground shot and lost all of it's fuel. The electrical systems were hit by a ground shot resulting in a
complete electrical systems failure. The aircraft was hit by anti-aircraft artillery fire resulting in a massive hull rupture. This was probably
the root cause of the crash. The Captain has declared an emergency before the crash.

-18 killed
-19 injured
-Pilot and flight crew were injured

HECK YEAH!

Granted... I really would not like to lose my aircraft from the fleet for the period of time... but would be nice to have some representation of the
mx....
