I didn't see any of the games because in the U.S. it is really hard to find soccer on TV. The only chanel that I really watch is Fox Soccer
Channel and they cover a lot of EPL and other European Leagues. They also have this news thing called the "Fox Sports World Report, "
which give the highlights for all the games in Europe as well as N. and S. American Soccer. I found out that Liverpool and Arsenal both

A game of many cards- 16 yellow and 4 red

The referee was a dumbass. I still don't know why Deco got a second yellow when he was pushed by Cocu.
Both teams were down to 9 men. Very violent game. Cristiano Ronaldo got injured.

England-Portugal

i hoped for Holland to get throu, so we could play against Dutch64 (martin) (he prob beating up his house right now )

Deco is a great player for Portugal, so he will be missed. We havent played very good so far, and have ground out the wins on poor
performances. If we perform the same next saturday, we are in trouble, but hopefully we can raise our game

It was a nice "fight", the fifa declared later on that the only one who should have had a card was the referee
I think holland didn't deserve to go on , we didn't play well. But on the other hand, it's a very young team, we can only grow better
May the best win, I think the winner of the match germany-argentina will be the new world champion...

Fking hard game...for both teams...Maniche goal was wonderful, and after costinha red card, holland had may chances on goal!
Many yellow cards i dont want to get down to the referee but he lost the edge a little bit...and i think that holland shouldnt have done that tackle
to Cristiano Ronaldo it was pretty harsh...and it seemed they forgot that fairplay is a good thing on that ball reposition!

Well in the end it was a close game...Holland vs Portugal its always like this....GO POOOORTUUGGAAALLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel sorry for Cristiano Ronaldo for getting injured but also for Deco. Great player.

His first yellow was when the Dutch didn't give the ball back to Portugal after a Dutch player was on the ground and play was stopped(even though
Portugal played it back to Van Der Saar when the Dutch cleared it out since Ronald was on the ground). He got angry and made a harsh tackle. I don't
know why on earth he got the second card. Philip Cocu was the one the pushed him but Deco was the one with the second yellow.

According to the referee Deco got his second card for holding the ball too long (in his hands) so that holland could not take a freekick. Also that
card was ridiculous indeed.... The ref destroyed this game with his acting.

Hey! Look at this idea:
I guess you'll agree the best part of football is shots at goal, free kicks, shots from 11m and...fights! Here's how we could have much
more of it: the referee should also penalize faults over YOUR OWN players!!!
That would end up with players of both teams running to their opponents' 16 m and kicking each other. Which would be interesting by
itself! Than we'd watch a free kick - or 11m - the referee would have no choice!
True, that wouldn't be football any more, but it would be more interesting. And we'd see more goals.
