Lol, ok ok, it's cool to be able to say that you've floan an F-18 jet, you win that one Brad! But common', you've floan both, you have to
admit, you like the 737 better don't you! I guess it all really depends though. But then again, have you ever seen a luxe private F-18? I don't think so! Try the Boeing 737 Business Jet by Netjets! Mehh... I'm still not convinced that the F-18's are attractive ![]() UGLY!! ![]()

You'd be convinced they're good aircraft when you're catapulted off the deck of a carrier in one! The F-18 had positive things and negative
things about it. Same with the 737. Each has a different role, and they're both EXCELLENT aircraft for their active roles. That goes for every aircraft I've ever flown!

F-22's are Wimpy!!!!! one f-22 could take out 4 f-15's with out them even knowing it was there , oh with ordnance well maybe but...
The f-22 is more of an air superiority fighter not really for moving mud yeah all the weapons are stored internally for stealth reasons it carries like 8 missiles I think

Have you ever heard of the Avro Arrow? It was a Canadian fighter jet in the 1958 only 6 were made, and 3 in various stages of
production at the time, and it cost over 13 billion dollars for only 6 (soon to be 9) aircraft. In the middle of it being a new scientific break through, the Canadian Government very suddenly, with no warning, ordered that all of the Avro Arrow's fleet be completly destroyed, along with the blue prints and basicly any record of the plane ever existing being burned or destroyed. No really knows why the Canadian Government all the sudden did this, some think that it was because 13 billion dollars, in 1958, was ALOT of money. Some blame it on poor planning in regards to the cost of the project, but when actually the government never confirmed why the world changing project was ordered to be canceled. The planes were designed to attack Soviets comming from the North Pole, attacking North America. They were at the time the fastest planes in the world, to bad there were only 6! The only thing left is a cockpit of the Avro Arrow, I saw it at the Ottawa Museam of Aviation. Had the Avro Arrow still existed, and the F-18 was in use in 1958, there would have been some serious compitition here! Take a look: ![]() ![]()

Most of my buddies in MC Aviation (some which are still active), have the same opinion of the F-22, and the F-35... sure, stealth has it's advantages, but when it comes down to it I want to be able to blow sh*t up!

But best sources also say that this great Arrow was trashed because of the Americans, who convinced Diffenbaker (the Prime Minister) that the missiles made aircrafts obsolete... It was not true... But maybe the Americans didn't want the Canada to build this powerful aircraft and selling it to the world... This bright team was dismantle. Most of them was recruited by two other teams: The Nasa and guess... the Concorde (clearly from the same family!!!) Pagir

I hesitate to recommend this product due to some folks having support issues, slow coming patches, and a few bugs, but the most detailed Airbus product by far is here:
http://www.simsoftworkshop.com Even with its shortcomings, I still really enjoy flying it when I need a break from Boeing (not often). The company is said to be working on an A320. SimHQ.com did a 5 part comparison a few months ago, Boeing vs. Airbus. Part1 reviews the A310. http://simhq.com/_air4/air_125a.html Post Edited ( 09-29-05 04:50 )

I've never been a big fan of Airbus for no apparent reason. I guess I just grew up knowing Boeings and have kinda stuck with that. Obviously tho, given the chance, i'd fly either.
