At my 4th attempt I had a major fuel leak so a good excuse to divert also Anyhow, checked the departure airport for tomorrow, it can be very well
done with the ATR, as long as you ignore the 'don't sink' messages for a while

Couldn't make it yesterday but finally I shouldn't be too sad about that. I would probably have crashed anyway. Did 3 short attempts wednesday with
the Dash 7 but I was never able to stop her before the runway ended (maybe full fuel tanks are not the best payload).
However, I'll keep trying

It has but indeed a bit tricky. not very efficient but when you stop them in time (speed > 60 kts) it give a strong acceleration to the
plane

Anyway in uphill landing they are not necessary. The Dash 7 is OK for upwind landing if you keep a spped +- 100 kts untill you flare to
get a positive VS about 300 fpm and touch down as close as possible to this white line. (I succeed on this some... 1/5 tries) with about
40% fuel and 80% pax

Pierre did a fantastic job of recovering from his maintenance woes and made a nice landing at Courchevel

The approach was indeed tricky yesterday. Landing on RWY23 with winds howling at 41 knots from 310. I started the turn towards the
runway quite early and kept the bank towards the wind all of the way to the runway and almost got blown off course anyway. Definitely a
white knuckles landing8o After arriving, I sat and watched Vegas's approach/go-around/approach/go-around and noticed how quickly the
clouds were flowing through the valley. What a day!

you can't read it so well but it is joe that just took-off















I've just installed the add-on scenery , and that one is much easier to land on , the only problem that I have is when I start this airport , that my plane stand on the otherside where the default airport is normaly :/

My brief version of Courchevel leg....

I was the last to depart LEPP...at least for the time being:


On climbout, spotted Nick headed eastbound in his Cirrus:


Finally beginning to see some daylight ahead:


Even after Pierre had suffered an emergency landing, he was able to get the repairs completed on the Dash7 and sprint towards
Courchevel again:


On descent to Courchevel as the clouds come up to meet me. The wind was not friendly at all this day:


After the white knuckled landing, I was able to sit and reflect upon how lucky we were to have landed safely...although I did put the paxs
through some harrowing moments prior to landing Here come Vegas on approach while HB takes a video:


Pierre makes a nice landing and arrives onto the ramp...sorry for the F27 livery Pierre...doesn't do justice to your Dash7, but I don't have
one of those .....yet:

LOL you are more crazy than me.. attempting to land in that hole!!

With the default airport I had chossen the FS2004 default mesh. At least in my default FS2004 scenery the airport is not in a hole.
(only the tree at the end are there)

Pierre, thanks for the Dash tips. At least my approach speed should have been ok with about 100 kts, but I think it was just too heavy (apart
from the fact that the runway is way too short, of course ). Going to do some training now.
