Last night my daughter came to me asking to use my computer, "yours is sooo much faster than mine." she says to me with those
puppydog eyes. This mourning I come downstairs, coffee in hand, to see what you, my sim brothers and sisters, have to talk about. But no!!!!!!! The 'ol Commador 64 is stuck in a start-up boot loop (not to be confused with fruit loops). After confering with every 17 year old on the street and no money for a cyber doctor it was determined that there was only one course of action....the (say it quietly) recovery disk. I don't mind loosing all the planes and scenery too badly, shoot, half the fun of what we do here is building the village. And no,Tracky I am NOT going to change my signiture back to C1. Wish me luck. ![]() ![]() ![]() If it's stupid, but it works, it isn't stupid.

OKAY....... Let's try this one more time. I found a nice otto pilot for my Blackhawk. Test flight from Kill Devil Hills to Atlantic City went well.
The hawk will work for Canada>>Greenland>>Iceland.>>Ireland with the four external fuel tanks ![]() ![]() If it's stupid, but it works, it isn't stupid.

Offtopic, but how/where did you get the FSPassenger signature ? :D
Granted I'm only C2, but it's pretty cool for these simmer forums ![]() And good luck with the helicopter world tour. I've considered doing something similar, but with an airplane. Not sure which one to use yet, but most likely my Cessna Seneca or Beechcraft Duke. Then again, I do have the A2A Piper Cub AcccuSum.. but not sure if a Piper Cub can get from America to Europe... sure I can put ski's on it, but are there even enough landing strips to do it or would I need to land in the middle of an icefloe to refuel? Will be fun anyways ![]()

Going to make my first BIG legg now from a gravel strip on the north coast of Canada to the southern tip of Greenland in a few minutes.
The trip up here from Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina has been interesting with the fuel problem. ![]() If it's stupid, but it works, it isn't stupid.

Well it's raining like a S.O.B. in Keflivek (BIKF) right now with 21kt. winds. I think with the wx I'll just sneek along the coast to the other side
of the island to be a little closer to Faroe for tonight. Can't do to much right now since I'm babysitting my grandaughter (she's a cutey). ![]() ![]() If it's stupid, but it works, it isn't stupid.

Made it to the east coast of Iceland (barely) low and slow under some super-low clouds. Faroe tommorrow.

Quote:gbapache wrote: Sounds like the fun flight I had out of KBDR to KEWR at close to midnight Thursday night in the C208 (real time of course)....raining like crazy, winds gusting to 30 knots during takeoff from that short runway at BDR. What a night! Getting in to EWR was just as crazy. By 1a.m. Friday morning, all kinds of aircraft were on the approach to 4L and 4R...low ceiling, gusting winds and occasional heavy rain. The pucker factor was at max ![]()

Ahhh, New Jersey in the fall. I'll tell you what....... I don't know how the guys that fly the North Sea oil rigs do it. At least on my old work-bird
we had FLIR. Low clouds and rain all the way from Greenland to Faroe Is. I'm going to take my time and have a nice VFR trip down England, visit some nice airfields off the beaten path, take the road less traveled. Any sugestions are gladly accepted. ![]() ![]() If it's stupid, but it works, it isn't stupid.
