Hey guys, First sorry I have not been on the site lately but have been involved with political issues here is the USA which have been taking up my time on the internet.
Now speaking of politics, lets talk windows 10. What is the advantage of this operating system except now any computer with a camera and microphone can be used to watch you and listen to your conversations. Windows 10 is their to glorify big brother and help the NSA to compile data of your personal activities. In regards to FSP being configured to run with windows 10, I hope Dan never goes there. It is not uncommon for simulator fans to run two versions of windows on the same system. FSX is a brain child of the year 2006 and we are now reaching 10 years out with the same program. I think it is amazing that Dan has kept this program up to date through , Vista, Windows 7 . How many disk based programs can you run on windows 10? The dirvers have changed and so has the language. From the days of 800 x 600 resolution to the high definition graphics and from dual core processors now current at 8 core. I don't see how Dan would profit any further. Perhaps if Steam and the third party developers of FSX would join the 21st century and reformat this simulation into a 64 bit application, like the current operating systems have run for years, then it would be worth it for Dan to continue development. Perhaps when windows 10 has proven to be stable with FSX in all versions he might consider updating FSP yet again. The fact is , Windows 10 is still in a Beta stage of development as with all prior releases Microsoft have a reputation of pushing out a product full of bugs in order to meet a deadline. Dan is coming out with P3D compatible software and that is great. There is a large enough group within the flight sim community to make a small profit here. Dan has done a great job as the sole creator of FSP, and I for one would like to thank him for it!
