I have the same problem; very often when I joke, I make a serious face. And overdo that, so I have to explain later on it was a joke.

I put quite often myself in such situation. Sometimes I can make a good joke where all around laugh... Nice. More often, I am the onlyone to laugh...
OK, and by times I am VERY SERIOUS and... everybody around laugh... UPSETTING

But anyway, as long as someone laugh, there is hope
