Problem Acts Like a Pitot Heat Failure

I'm pretty sure this isn't an FSPax failure, but I thought I'd post here and see if anyone had ever experienced this before. I have a few
interactive add ons other than FSPax (Radar Contact and FDC Live Cockpit, to name two) but I couldn't find anything with them -- It
happens with and without those addons running.

If it's not FSPax, the only other thing I can think of is I've accidentally saved a Pitot STATIC failure in my default FS9 flight and it keeps
happening no matter where I am or what I'm flying, at random times even though I've reset failures under the Aircraft Realism menu. That
is VERY possible.

I've reset failures in FS9 AGAIN, and resaved a new flight as the default flight--new aircraft, new location, everything. I've already done this
a couple of times, but who knows with MSFS, maybe I missed something. Hopefully this will be the solution, because this particular
bloody failure is just no fun whatsoever.

Thanks to those who answered and tried to help -- if I've fixed it with the new saved flight, I'll report back by the end of the week after I've
flown a number of test flights.

Wow the default does it :S I have absolutly no idea now.....

I know something like that happend to me with the default 747 repainted for Thai Airways but It never happend again....

Mk, Im shooting blind here, try doing the flight and only using the mouse, clicking everything to fly it, and see if it happens, that might be
able to narrow it down if it is a hotkey....

Reading the PDF manual a few times, It has to be done pretty wel exactly to that manual for it to work properly

Hello to all other players,

i noticed this problem a few times on my flights. Last flight (exported here as Aero Florian Sibirien Flight FL 557, 2008-09-05) it happens again and
destroyed my results. Only thats why I exported this flight here.

During the flight, the flightspeedindicator drops to zero. Due to the assume of loosing speed, the flightdirector/autopilot raises thrust as much as
possible. At this moment, the only working speed-indicator is the real-ground-speed indicator and the GPS. But they doesn't affect on autopilots
results. After a while (between 5 sec and 1 min) the indicator weaks-up. It is independent of the actual altitude and happens at different moments
during the entire flight - may also while approach. Pitot-heat does not effect at all. A Mayday-call or Pan Pan Pan due to the not working units is
interpreted as a fake emergency-call.

It happens with different A/C, for example JustFlight A340-500 (Payware), A 320-214 Condor Berlin (Freeware), B 737-200 Metro-Jet (Freeware) or B
757-236 Jet2.com (Freeware) so I guess that it is indepentend from using a special A/C. So I have to pay attention allways on the speed-indicator as
well as without activated flightdirector.

I've had this happen in a couple of different aircraft. During climb-out around transition altitude the aircraft will lose pitot data briefly on
occasion. I assumed it was just simulated icing as it usually occurs in or near stratus clouds generated by AS6. Like Florian said,
it "wakes up" after a few seconds and the flight comtinues as usual. The way I counter it, is to monitor my instruments closely during
climb-out and cruise-climb. When it happens, dissengage autothrottle and manually control the throttle until the gauge comes back
online. If you don't catch it quick enough, you can also dissengage the AP and gently lift the nose up until the engines spool back down to
a manageable setting. As a last resort, engage the speed brakes to bring the speed quickly back down but you have to watch carefully
that you don't over-deccelerate and stall when you do that.
