When I am doing a long haul flight and i have to do something else i pause the game minimize the window and since i leave the
computer on all the time, I just shut off the monitor and sound sys. go about my life and run it whenever i have an hour or so to run the flight. ![]()

Hibernate!
It DOES work.I've been doin' it for seven months, since I bought my laptop. and I never lost a flight and you can leave your computer off for any time you want or need that your flight will be waiting for you. And you don't have to worry about power cuts (or electricity consumption for that mather) , pc crashes or anything at all

you can go into the options of fspassengers and disable the time xcel so you do not take a hit in points for time compression.

well when i do a long haul flight i use time exeleleration it works and if u want u can put it to *16 and u will finish an 8 hrs flight in less
than 1 hour but that isnt nice put it *4 and it will be good, and dont forget to turn off the time acceleration penalty

My suggestion would be try payware aircraft
![]() PSS and PMDG aircraft come with a wonderful little trick: "Pause at Top of Descent". Assuming you don't get screwed with some fatal malfunction by FS Passengers, you can start a flight before you go to bed, turn off the monitor and come back later on to find your wonderful flight paused at its T.O.D. point ready to start on down. I have a fun little scenario a friend and I designed that requires visiting a number of specific destinations around the world. As a result, a number of our flights are in excess of 5 or 6 hours, with some being as much as 8-10. Its great when I can start a flight at night, come back in the morning, land, do a quick turn, and head back out on the next leg. Meanwhile, life goes on as normal, and when time permits (usually right before bed at like 1AM) I can come back, land the plane, and start the process all over. ![]() So again---payware is wonderful!
