Let's use Carl Martin Mathiesen's review the more constructive way we can:
Thinking about the famous "limitations": The wrong airport issue: If you park at the edge of a big airport, you can be closer to the center of another smaller airport then BINGO: wrong destination ![]() Never more such a frustration if the test is changed into something like SET MaxDistanceToSestination = 5nm //user configurable value IF (CurrentDistanceToDestination <= MaxDistanceToSestination) THEN YouDidIt=TRUE ![]()

And please, do something with black screen and CTD when contact ground (better co-operation with ATC.DLL)
FSPASSENGERS is REALLY GREAT PROGRAM ![]()

There are only a couple of minor bugs that I'd fix: the one of the sandwiches evaporating in
my passengers' stomaches and the other one about the 100 hours mainteinance thingie. After that, the rest of FSPassengers is perfect, although I wouldn't mind some new shineys, like an on-board duty free shop -limited to wide-bodies- or new, original mainteinance issues (if the flight is too shakey, there could be a chance that the restrooms to be occupied all the time, thus lowering the passengers' satisfaction level). > ![]() Do you think you could do something regarding the restrooms? That would be really fun. If the plane you buy is too old or poorly maintained, the fact that passengers find the restrooms are out of order could make you think about a fleet renovation. Imagine a flight report saying: Passenger Opinion: Very good flight, professional (97%) -Were in a better mood because they had food, although there was a kid on row 24 who didn't like the pasta. -Were displeased by the music on ground. No more ABBA! -Didn't like the movie. Come on, Airport onboard a plane!? -Were irritated because 2 restrooms didn't work on a long flight. And that would make passengers to empty the aircraft faster when you're on your destination! ![]() And speaking about the movie thing, it could also work randomly, affecting the passengers' mood from 0 to +5. 0 if the movie was too bad, and +5 if it was really entertaining, with most chances for +2 and +3, indicating an average to good movie. The restroom thing may mean a lot of work, and a little less for the duty free thing, but I think modifying the movies' effect on passengers wouldn't take that much. What do you think? Just had a small discussion with an highly skilled and experimented guy on IVAO who was a bit sceptic about the failure management
because he could not understand that we did so long flight to Djedda with so damaged planes. Quote:.... C'est cas sont d'une part, un feu moteur ou autre non maitrisé ( Il a été calculé que sur un 320, si on est pas posé en 18 Means that for an uncontroled fire if we are not landed within 18 minutes, we wont ever land ![]() damaged aircraft when alternate airports are available is a fault. As far as I know weith FsP, there is no time factor except for depressurization. Perhaps it would be more realistic to add a time factor which make the plane less and less flyable and/or count how many time we needed to land in regard of the alternate airports available ? probably difficult to do it evenly as there are plenties of factors like plane, runway length, weather... But there is an idea here. ![]()

Ultra realism settings that would forbid using Pause and Time acceleration?
I'd love that (providing I get more points ![]() ![]() "Blessed are those who can laugh at their own mistakes, for they shall never cease to be amused "

300,000 km/sec. Its not just a good idea, its the law.

So yes a timelimit might be more realistic.. just don't make it that way that as longer as you fly as more your plane becomes damage and as more points you get after landing. I knew one and a crazzy co pilot that would fly till they fall off the sky.. then. ![]() If you make a timelimti you can also integrate fire (my poor wooden wings) ..then you need to land within a certain time. The only problem what when there is really no Airport anyway..may we land on the grass then? Edit: Oh and p.s. I wouldn't mind if there is then also a harder mode where all engienes stop working. (For Fire and warzones) Edit P.s.2. If we had it about imrpovements... I think landing at the right TD point. at the beginning of the rwy should be honored. I see it a little as wrong to be honored for kisslandings when you TD at the end of the rwy. Post Edited ( 05-02-07 23:51 )

Hello!
Please: give in the Update, that the stewardess did not bring coffee or drinks in the cockpit, when service is paused against turbulence! And please make it sure, that FsP did hold my "C23"-Flying legend. mfG Alti

If you read French, enjoy the whole thread. http://fr.forum.ivao.aero/index.php/topic,52444.0.html It is obvious that the FsP failures systel cannot be fully realistic. limits of the fligh simulator itself and, also, as it is a game, it must be something attractive. In RL you would have hardly a couple of failure in a whole flight simmer life. In RL some failures occures without leaving ANY CHANCE to survive like the TWA 747 or the Swissair DC10. What would be the interest to simulate such a failure ? a simple CTD does the job as well. Anyway a time factor having influence at least on the score would add some "spice" to this part of the game. Totally agree with your remark about distance to TD point . ![]() |
