I don't think these abbreviations will be common...
I don't think "net speak" will be soon part of the language. Here's the confusion... Internet is not a spoken medium, but a written one... And i personally consider it's a lack of respect due to the reader... ![]()

The problem with netspeak or whatever you call it, is in it's indefinity.
There are no rules, so that one may write same word by many different ways. It may be easy to write, but it is wery hard to get used to read it fast. Simply because you have to get used to all variants to get them fast. And this is impossible since there are as many variants as people using this cryptography. It is true that this way is acceptable to communicate in the narrow group like in chats where everyone knows others well, or by SMS when length of message is important and writing is hard due to the phone keyboard. But for wide communication this is not a good idea. There's also an netiquete that prohibits such things, you know. Just my 2 cents. ![]()
