To me, there is one main point for using nHancer. Well, two if you consider anti-aliasing a separate matter.
It is the supersampling, which any semi-oldish nVidia card is capable of, but which is not supported by nVidia drivers. Supersampling is
(very basically) a recalculation of the same frame more than once, according to more complicated rules. The aim is to provide a higher
quality final frame, to be displayed. This does cost FPS, of course, but not much.
The effects of better sampling are numerous, yet they basically add up to a better quality picture. While the main graphics glitch of FS
series - the "terrain shimmer" is only marginally fixed by nHancer (one has to play with FS LOD settings, as well as negative LOD bias in
nHancer and a few other advanced parameters there, excellent built-in help for that in nHancer though), the other types of shimmer, like
building storeys, the rough edges (nHancer anti-aliasing is quicker/smoother), is quite an improvement. As I figured out till now, the only
taxation is memory. nHancer eats quite a bit of RAM, but very little processor time.
There is a ready profile for FS, comes with the nHancer, I never used it, figured it all out myself, reading the forums and whatnot. But then
I was pleasantly surprised when I found out my config coincided with their recommendation.
Can't provide the "before/after" pictures hehe, but here are some "after" : )

Look for a white/blue C208B on that page - about 3/4 page down (the 4X-ADG). That's with nHancer.
