That was what I understood but the only link for download leads to Simware who just provide a paware A340 including the panel...

Can't resist to show a nice A380 landing

Sorry, didn't realize that it changed to payware. It was free before - that's an unfortunate change.
The panel is good as freeware, but hardly worth 33 €... bad move IMO. Oh well.

Please, don't be sorry for that and

I know the Mitchell panel, tried it sometime... it's average in my opinion. Still better than the Grassi panel that can be found on avsim as well.
I'm glad I can stick to my PSS panels anyway. ![]()

Well, been trying to land in a 777 now. Keep crashing or missing the runway. Heck, those things are hard to land.
![]() way before the airfield OR missing the runway (that is, flying beside it or otherwise). Are there any good tutorials in FS or elsewhere on how to land (and take off without exceeding 250kts) big jets? Thx. ![]() "Dont be too optimistic. In the thread "Why landing is so hard", you will find some tips.
There is also a good tutorial on http://www.simviation.com Last but not least, the "Rod Machado" lessons provided in FS2004. The 777 is already a monster thus, quite challenging if you just leave a Beechcraft Baron yoke. The 737 is more fitted to start with airliners. Or also on http://www.ifdg.net/moderndl.php Plenties of version of A318 to A321 serie Keeping control of airspeed is indeed the first difficulty we meet starting with jets. As jets need much more time to react to the thrust change than props, we often over correct back and forth. First thing to do with a jet : climb at a comfortable 5000 feets. then choose a speed and keep it. make some turns keeping your altitude and speed, then choose another speed, get stable on it and make some others turns etc. do it especially at low speeds between 140 and 200 with frelevant flap settings. When you feel well, do the same thing but at a constant climb or descent rate. For climb after take off, as soon as your flaps are retracted (around 200 kts), tune your throttle at +- 85% N1 and control your speed at 240 (it's comfortable to keep a 10 kts error margin to adjust quietly) just by your pitch (should be something around +15° and around +3000 fts/min. Anyway your corrections by pitch will qive a quicker result on your speed than corrections on thrust. ![]()

Theres also a payware version of the A380 available (at least in the states). They had it at Best Buy the other day when I had to pick up
another copy of FS2004... thought it odd that I saw a payware aircraft addon at Best Buy.

THanks pegase. I'll check that thread out

Quote:Theres also a payware version of the A380 available (at least in the states). If it is the HLIGHT PERFECT's "Fly the a 380" just read as I bought it : Nice virtual cockpit with passengers cabin, fun to visit. adventure manager looking nice (but i did not try it), very good sounds but: Poor flight dynamics Unfinished external view, the fuselage looks "glued" to the wings with a 50 cm thick layer of black glue it seems to stay in levitation on the parking with 20 cm between the concrete and the weels. Almost unpossible to use 2D panel (especially undecodable VS indicator) It has plenty (60!) liveries but quite poorly done, the house colors are the previous one, not the actual first flight, they made a livery for Air Inter ! Air inter was the main domestic flight company in France before beeing melted in Air France 7 years ago !! and should it still be existing , I bet they would not have flown this long haul heavy carrier. The heaviest plane I remember they flew was the A 300. Check rather in flight sim.com for Robert Versluys A380 and Ken Mitchell's panel. You will fly with the defaulr b 747 sounds, won't visit a cute passenger cabin with lounge and stairs But you will have a nicely flyable configuration... as freeware. ![]()

60 liveries although only a handful of carriers have placed orders so far. Cute.
![]() That package looks really bad, I doubt it's worth even $19,95.
