I believe QANTAS has been in existence for some 80 odd years without a fatailty. We do have pretty desirable weather here in Oz, mind
you. Very rarely do we get the kinda storms you do in the states esp.

I'm not sure about airlines stationed in countries other than the US, however in the US SWA is the SAFEST MAJOR CARRIER. I know
Qantas and a few others have great safety records too, however I can only vouge for the company I work for! No more!

I was watching a reality TV show about airlines and it seems SWA had some TERRIBLE publicity last night! They intentionally redirected
a flight to an airport with no connecting flights for three days and then expected the people to stay in the terminal for those days without
any sort of conpensation or accomodations. Hmm!!

The TV show is called "Airline" and it's on A&E a few times a week. I wouldn't call it TERRIBLE publicity, you're obviously misinformed! I
didn't see an episode with people that had to stay in a terminal for three days without any compensation! I saw one just recently were
quite a few people (100 or so) had a flight from LAX-PHL cancelled, but I didn't think they were holed up in the airport for 3 days! Naturally,
we don't compensate when the delay or cancellation is caused by something completely out of control (I.E. WEATHER). We'll try to
accomodate all PAX in these tense situations, however the weather is out of control. Don't expect compensation when a thunderstorm
forces a fligth cancellation! That's not our fault!

I don't know of anyone else that would call it "TERRIBLE publicity" though. That's how the airline business works. Southwest
CONSTANTLY wins customer service, and on-time performance awards. We're one of the top passenger-rated airlines in the US... too
bad there's not a UAL reality show. Talk about bad publicity!

The TV show "Airline" seems to be doing quite well too. I've seen the crews in various airports from time to time (not sure if they were
the "Airline" crews, or some other video crews some of the time though). I've never been featured on the show though. If I ever am, I'll
let you know ahead of time, and the date that it's planned to air. Quite a few of my close buddies have been featured on "Airline" though.

Overall, I think the show HELPS SWA gain MORE publicity, and is a good advertising campaign (in a way). It also gives you some insight
into what the airline industry is like. Naturally, in order to get people to watch the show, you have to find DRAMA. Drama is what you
interpret as TERRIBLE publicity!

Sorry if I came off as rude, but I've got to defend my employer, and their various ventures. I'm not looking to start an arguement, just offer my input

In the UK we've also got a show called Airline, here they feature Easyjet. Of course they usually show the passengers with the worst
experience, but it's usually their own fault because they turn up late for check in or have forgotten their passport etc.

All in all I think it's good publicity for Easyjet and they must think so aswell because the show has been running for years.

Easyjet, easyeverything, easycar, easythis, easythat, that guy is gonna become stronger than Bill Gates mate.

But I DONT fly with that company (i think is just crap) the pricing is not that much difference and well, it just doesn't feel right flying with
them.I always do with BA, love that company or BMI, Both of them are brilliant!!

I've watched "Airline UK" as it's called here in the US on a few occasions. Here, our Airline is based on the company I fly for, SWA.
Perhaps you guys have it as "Airline USA". Who knows?!?!
