Well, landed, actually the flaps fell over so I crashed, but not even a murmur from FS. Steady as a rock the whole flight. 2.5 hours WPG to
Calgary.
I did have a couple of hilarious moments though, first off I tried to get the movie to play, and in fiddling with the key to do this I shut down
my #2 engine (oops), spent the next 15 minutes trying desperately to fire it up again, and while I'm doing all this and beginning to sweat
just a bit, the stewardess comes in and ... "would you like coffee captain?", er no, not right now, kinda got my hands full of dead engine at
the moment.
Cut a story short I got it going and when I got to Calgary the flaps wouldn't extend, so AP wouldn't do approach, hmm, okay quick
calculation means I should land this rather heavy lady at around 170 KIAS w/out flaps, just above a stall, flew a near perfect approach all
the way down, then stalled it just above the rwy to crash. How embarrassing.
