You can cheat the program to artificially decrease the purchase cost provided FsP for FSX works the same way as FsP for FS9.
The older version used empty weight as the determinate for purchase price. There may be other variables as well but this is the biggie. If
you're OK with cheating an inanimate computer program and can still look yourself in the mirror after doing so, this may be worth a try. To
change the empty weight, go to the [WEIGHT AND BALANCE] paragraph of the aircraft.cfg (or its FSX equivalent) and find the
line:
empty_weight=140525.000
Change it to something like:
empty_weight=14000.000
Save and close. Start up FS, open the FsP Manager's window and note the new, much decreased price. Buy it. Close FS.
Do not forget to undo your edit in the aircraft.cfg otherwise you're likely to have all sorts of grief when you attempt to fly. Also the cheap
purchase price represents the new value for the aircraft so if you sell it, the value is based on the cheating purchase price and not the FsP
market value.
Good Luck...

Will this work for qualifying for aircraft in career mode? Change config lowe weight, start up sim, buy plane, close sim, change config back,
start sim, and fly?
