You can also run two separate versions of windows and dedicate FSX to the one that works with FSX. As OS advances we still are working with a decade old program. If
you are like me, and are a true flight simulation fan, keeping the boxed edition on windows XP or windows 7. Keep the Steam edition on windows 7 to 8.1. I would not
advance to a new OS unless there is a program designed to work with it.
