Lights on or off

Or here is the actual way --- I turn on all light at the gate ( EXCEPT THE LANDING LIGHTS ), i turn on the landing lights during taxi and take off
and anywhere below 10000 feet, landing lights off above 10000 feet. ( leave other lights on for the duration of the flight ).
