If you stay below the maximum speed for an extended gear it will not get damaged. You should have a chart with all essential speeds for
your aircraft anyhow at hand (Vref, VMO etc). There are normally two speeds in reference to the gear:
- maximum speed for lowering the gear
- maximum speed with the gear lowered
