I just messaged Dan about the N1 values that are abnormally high during start up. THIS IS A BUG! As I mentioned to Dan:
N1 that high is not normal. During start, N1 usually won't go above 30%... now
N2 will go to about 65% or so, and EGT is the one that goes high... up to 800degrees C.
You shouldn't ever have N1 indications that high during start. That would indicate a hot
start, and that's an emergency!
I don't know why you're getting penalized. Realistically, you should only have to advance your throttles to a max of 40% N1 to start taxiing
a 737.
