1) No need to declare an emergency once a problem happens on the runway...blown tires, malfunctioning brake and one engine not producing enough power
during takeoff roll are good examples.
2) Sounds like you didn't have the pitot heat ON before the flight. Does this aircraft have a standby airspeed indicator? If so, you could have
checked it to see if it was at zero,too. If so, that would tell you that pitot heat was not ON. Not an emergency if it's pilot induced
3) Malfunctioning flaps do happen and you SHOULD be declaring an emergency if FsP caused it. Some failures are built in to aircraft addons and if not
disabled can make you think FsP caused the failure. Be careful with this! So, in this case FsP caused the failure and you didn't declare an
emergency...hence the hit on points. While in the air, declare an emergency.
