I also meant to add that you can accelerate the simulation with FSP running -- I usually use 2x / 4x speed so I can complete a flight in the time I
make available for it. The consequence is that whatever points you earn from the flight are reduced by 30%.
I've also noticed that it takes the crew longer to complete passenger service when the simulation is accelerated -- something worth remembering if a
flight is due to last less than around 40 mins. Once you've descended below 4,000 ft (I think) any ongoing service is ended and registered as not
having happened, meaning flight points are lost (and penalty points may be incurred -- I can't recall). The documentation covers (and clarifies) all
the above.
