Agree with Jim,
Solved threads do not need closing. They simply drop down the forum out of sight, that is how a forum works. When a thread becomes redundant, it no longer gets posts made on it, so it disappears.
Strange thing is, some of the closed threads have been 'topped' after over two weeks of no posts, just to say they have been closed
Closed threads are reserved for threads with illegal activity, or abusiveness etc.
Well that's my opinion anyway.
