Why does reputation goes more than 5% when you land safely after plane is hit?

Of course the are happy to land safely, bigger part was that they are affraid of the shots at the plane and stuff.
So it is logic that that general speaking not to happy about it.
They are from the 100% flight, say for example 90% in fear and terror.
So you really think that that last 10% of a safe landing will compromise that?????
