Why does reputation goes more than 5% when you land safely after plane is hit?

Wait..... let me read it good.
You try to get out of Bagdad and you do land safely.
You write you get good points, even 1000's you say.
I asume that you are getting shot at, and your plane suffers damage and even with that you still manage to land that's why you get a lot of
points.
If so, (if not like this then be a little more specific) Of course the pax are not very happy.
