lol everyone is excitied. FSX is kinda boring the way it is right now, need to spice it up abit with FSPX wooo!!!lol
Well, why don't you do like me!!! Zooming out on this, I found myself pretty desperate!!!! Waiting on an addon for months... please get a life
(I told myself). How about flying lessons? Guess what..... I did. and now, few months later, I fly for real!!!!! One would think that it definitly
puts computer flying in the back seat once you are real life flying. Well not at all. If fact, you learn so many things in flying lessons that are
so
applicable to simulation, you would not believe it!!!! And a lot of time while I am flying for real, I wonder "What if I did this or
that".
And then, when I am back home, I answer my question with FSX(Sometimes I am glad I did not try it for real in the plane!).
These are comments I have for those who never flew for real by themselves or are to afraid to do so:
Upsides:
-Landing for real is at least twice as easy then in FSX!!!!!!
-Taking off is the easiest thing you ever done in your life!
-Surprisingly, taxiing is the thing that took me the longest to get used to(luckily, I was on the ground!!!!!)
-For those who, like me, have the rudder as the twisting feature of the joystick, will find the rudder pedals pretty interesting......
-You will discover how much rudder are useful in flight(and not only for taxi on the ground)
-If you are afraid of height, I would say try it on!!!! It is hard to explain but being in a cockpit of a cessna is so "unreal",
that is
almost like
you're in front of a large screen plasma TV, flightsimming!!!!!
-Crosswinds:almost a walk in the park! In fact, adds a little spice!
-Stalling: Almost never and too easy to recover!!!!
-Go to your local airport and have a try out flight with an instructor. Cheap and so fun! He will let you fly the plane by yourself, if you want to.
-And again, landings are exhilirating. I still can't get over them. Flaring is one of best sensations of all!
Downsides:
-The price. So if you're rich, what are you waiting for? And if you are still afraid, well, why wouldn't you invest in me? I dream of having my
own!!!
P.S. I also got my hands on the FSX SDK and building missions. I specialize in reproducing historic jet accidents from information I get
from Mayday
TV programs and NTSB reports. I hope to have the package out someday!!!!! By the way, please let me know if you know of a software
that would modify
my own voice recordings so that they sound like radio communication with some king of hissing. Thanks.

^i'm gettin a few lessons and i can not wait for them :D :D gonna bein one of these http://www.skytrace.ie/our-fleet.php
and when that mission pack comes out i'll definitly get it sounds good
I'll just add to the upside:
1) Being able to slip the surrely bonds of earth to touch the face of God
2) Being able to strap on an airplane with alot of horse power in the front and feeling the rush of its power
3) You're too focused on what's going on in and around the airplane to think about the problems that exist on the ground.
4) The aviation community is a tight-knit bunch...you can build some life-long friendships through flying clubs, aerobatic clubs, Civil Air
Patrols, etc, etc. It's a great way to network yourself into a lucrative aviation career.
5) You'll never get tired of mother nature's beauty high above the ground...the ever-changing environment is an awesome wonder
I can go on and on, but you all get the idea. I'm fortunate enough to speak from practical experience
