Quote:You can do emergencies on VATSIM, it has been restricted and you need an ATC approval.
If not you would have loads of people using emergenices to avoid a hold, or even better no radio and ignore completely procedures.
7500 is restricted as in fact you cannot be hijacked on VATSIM. And i think it is sort of sick to even think of using it...
Emergencies are ok as training (or even fun), but if your emergency makes other pilots have less fun i don't think you should use them....
See, that's the difference. In reality, you have an emergency, a controller can't say "Oh, I'm sorry, I'm busy."
The interesting thing is, we can't reject emergencies on IVAO and furthermore, we don't have a problem with people abusing it. People
know when they're supposed to use it and do so properly.
Same as VATSIM though, we don't allow 7500 as there is no point to it.
Quote:No. On VATSIM an emergency is an integral part of all practical exams. Pilot training is also provided with VATSIM, in tandem with
ATC training
Really? Huh, news to me. So you're telling me that I can chose not to be an ATC and just take pilot exams to be promoted on a pilot
level?
