If you bought it to match the specs of FSX, then you're going on the minimum system requirements needed to run FSX!
In order to run FSX with a bunch of add-ons with scenery etc. at full you need a very high end computer. Mine has an Nvidia GTX950, 2.40Ghz, intel
dual core, 250Gb of RAM on XP. Though mine was a full custom build for XP, not intended to run games on, but it handles FSX amazingly maxed out.
Your problem here may be the quad core - I have read in other parts of the forum that systems with a quad core had trouble with FSX - something to do
with the memory distrubution or something. I may of course be wrong, but there we are.
