I got xPax as well, it does not operate on the same market as FsP, nor do they claim it would. As far as things
taking "TOO" long saint4, Dan is one man, he does what he does and the product will be ready when it is ready.
The FsP version for FS9 came out about 1.5-2 years after FS9 was released and has been in the top 3 bestselling
products at Simmarket both in the weekly and overall stats eversince. I think we can actually afford to bring out a
proper product for FSX that actually works and does not need 3 updates and fixes in a matter of 2 weeks ( GEX
comes to mind
). Had MS/ACES actually stuck with the RTM there would not have been too much of a
problem but when SP1 and now SP2 came out and there is an SDK that leaves so much to be desired
things changed drastically, it might have been a different story had all of that not happened. An unfinished
product is hard to develop for. Proof of the former statement is in the pudding, go and have a look at poor Aerosoft
where they have had to actually patch and stitch certain items of their software range off late to accommodate for
the SP2. Anyway, I could go on for hours about this but in the end of the day if we rush a release you would
probably be one of the first people to say that we haven't done a good enough job.
Either way we cannot win so I will use the cliche that I have been using for the last 20 years already:
" It will be ready when it is done"
